However, Sony said that the Blu-ray disc player with a built-in Google TV will be sold separately for $400.

According to Mike Abary, senior vice-president for Sony’s Home Division, the new Google TV will allow users to integrate their usual web surfing habit while viewing their favorite programs on television.

“Finally, the search for the perfect technology that combines the pleasure of watching television while surfing the Internet is here,” Abary said in the statement.
